Service Description

The early weeks of pregnancy can feel like an emotional rollercoaster — exciting, nerve-wracking, and full of questions. Whether you're counting down the days to your first NHS scan or you've noticed something that doesn’t feel quite right, we’re here to help you feel more in control. This scan offers early reassurance that your pregnancy is progressing as expected. It can also be used to check for common concerns such as light bleeding, abdominal cramps, loss of early pregnancy symptoms, or simply to ease your mind when something feels off. We can confirm the presence of a pregnancy, check for a heartbeat, determine if it’s a single or multiple pregnancy, and give you a more accurate gestational age if your dates are uncertain. You’ll receive at least two printed images plus digital images and video sent straight to your phone before you even leave the room. No waiting. Just clarity, calm, and next steps.

General Information If you have questions about your procedure, please discuss them with the clinician at the start of your appointment or contact us in advance to arrange a call. In line with GDPR, your data is never shared without consent, stored securely in accordance with ISO 27001 & ISO 27018, and held for one year before secure destruction. Pregnancy-related Ultrasound T&Cs Our scans provide additional pregnancy imaging and do not replace NHS scans. Sex identification cannot be 100% guaranteed—it is the sonographer’s opinion only. If later scans contradict our opinion, we offer one free rescan, but no refunds. For 3D/4D scans, image quality depends on the baby’s position; one rescan may be offered at the sonographer’s discretion. Factors affecting image quality include high BMI, empty bladder, excess adipose tissue, or bowel gas. Do not empty your bladder immediately before your scan; a moderately full bladder is required. We will do our best to obtain images during your appointment; if unsuccessful, we may offer one further rescan appointment, subject to availability and management discretion, at no extra cost. All scans must be paid in full by the end of the first appointment. If an abnormality is suspected, the sonographer will explain findings and, with your consent, may contact your GP or provide a report for your healthcare provider. By proceeding, you consent to the ultrasound examination, understand it is non-diagnostic, have read the disclaimer, and agree not to hold ScanLinc responsible for undetected abnormalities. Booking your appointment confirms that you understand and agree to the terms outlined above.
