If caught while pregnant, rubella can cause serious complications including miscarriage, stillbirth, or congenital rubella syndrome (CRS), which can affect the baby’s hearing, vision, and heart. This blood test checks for rubella immunity, ideal if you’re planning a pregnancy or just want to know where you stand.
